I opened my practice January, 1984, with a desk and three chairs. My plan was to work directly with my clients, not to have assistants or staff to delegate work and client contact to.
After 25 years, that is still my practice. I have aggressively used technology to leverage my time and abilities, rather than hiring staff. I prepare all tax returns and other work, and when clients call, they talk to me.
The heart of my practice is my individual tax clients. I prepare a number of partnership, corporate and fiduciary tax returns that are linked to individual tax clients returns. My estate planning and other legal work is generally related to the needs of tax clients.
